A Long Awaited Crankshaft
Following many trips to the foundry, checking on specifications, hardness, etc, Peter Bohn, our purveyor of all things Aston, has sent us this photo of our completed 4.7 litre crankshaft! Here, he is test fitting in an engine block at his workshop in Essex, and as of this writing, has shipped it to our San Francisco facility. A specially made engine girdle will be fit for reinforcement, and everything will be assembled in the coming month. Our thanks to Peter of JMB Services for his diligent efforts. Work is progressing on everything now from the leather interior, to the power steering system, to the exterior trim, and interior door latch conversion. Photos of all procedures coming soon!
